Dear neighbours,
I arrived in Toronto as a Jewish-Iranian immigrant when I was 12 years old.
Since then, I have worked hard to give back to this city which has given me so much. I have volunteered at Baycrest Centre, Lawyers Feed the Hungry, my children’s schools, in Israel and in Zimbabwe. I have served on the Board of Directors of Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre (for people with mental health and addiction challenges) and RESULTS Canada (to end poverty worldwide.)
I am a lawyer, a professor, a writer, a non-profit leader, and a life-long volunteer.
My young family and I have lived in the ward for fourteen years. My daughters have gone to Allenby Junior Public School, Associated Hebrew Day School, and Glenview Senior Public School.
I love our Eglinton-Lawrence neighbourhood and the people living here. I feel fortunate to call so many of you my neighbours and friends. As your Councillor, I will be present and engaged.  I will listen to you and keep you informed.
I want to advocate for us, to serve the wonderful residents of our ward, and to make our great city of Toronto even better: more vibrant, more connected, more inclusive. I want to ensure that City Council makes smart, sensible decisions that improve the quality of life for all of us. I want to make sure that our decisions benefit us as well as our children.
I invite you to find out more about me and the campaign issues, to sign up for our newsletter, and to help me make Toronto a better city by volunteering on the campaign.
I would be honoured to represent you at city hall, and hope to have your support on October 22.

Email from Colette Kim, a Ward 8 resident to her friends & neighbours

Hello My Friends and Neighbours,
It is rare when I know with certainty who I should actually vote for in any election. Too often I see promises without action plans and without real heart. This election I haven’t an ounce of doubt about who I want representing us in Ward 8 (actually I’d like her to run for Mayor) and I want her to win so badly that I’m sending out this email asking you to put Dyanoosh on your radar. I’ve attached an article that she wrote 4 years ago so you can get an idea of how smart, passionate, understanding, and realistic Dyanoosh is. I also encourage you to bounce around her website and if you agree with me, please please forward this to all your friends in Ward 8.
In all sincerity,
